Packing Tips

To ensure a smooth moving process, make sure to mark which items you will be taking with you and let the movers know so they don't accidentally take them. At Om International Packers and Movers, we have all types of vehicles available, including LCV vans for smaller loads and properties with tight access. We also have a non-slip ramp system for safe access onto the lorry, and we're fully insured.

If you want us to reassemble furniture at the new location, please let us know before moving day. For items like 2 or 3 seater sofas, we can wrap them expertly to prevent any damage when access is difficult.

On the day of the move, be sure to be present when the driver arrives and throughout the loading process. If you can't be around, have someone else take charge of the movers and make sure the driver knows the name and phone number of that person.

Accompany the driver during inventory and check the goods while they are being loaded. Before leaving, make a final tour of your home to ensure that nothing is overlooked. Sign the bill of lading and confirm that your new address and phone number are correct. Lock all windows and doors, and turn off all switches.

When you arrive at your new home, it's best to be there a day ahead of time to make sure that utilities are connected and to plan the placement of major items. Be present to pay the driver with cash, traveler's check, certified check, or money order before your belongings are unloaded.
